About us

We are Henk and Anna Roelofsen.

We got married in 1994 and lived for 8 years in the town of Harskamp, The Netherlands.

We have 4 children (all adults now) and are enjoying being grandparents now too!

In the spring of 2003 we immigrated with then our 3 children to Fort Macleod, Alberta - Canada 

We have a farm with about 300 sows and 300 ewes.

In 2011 Henk build a cute guest house for our family from Holland.

However, most of the year it would be unoccupied. 

That's why we decided to rent it out for holiday stays to others that are visiting beautiful Alberta.

Many (returning) guests have stayed in our Guest House already. 

They often have family or friends living in this area, there is a large Dutch community here.

Our place is very central located, on a paved road, just off the Highway 3 between Fort Macleod and Lethbridge. 

With a beautiful view to the Rocky Mountains from the spacious patio you can plan your daytrips to many beautiful places, nature, museum, historic sites etc.

Our Guest House is comfortable. 

The entrance has room for your coats/shoes. 

And there is a half bathroom.

It has 2 bedrooms 

- master bedroom - ensuite with a queen bed.

This big bathroom has a shower/vanity and toilet. It also has a washer and dryer.

- second bedroom has 2 TwinXL beds.

We can add a crib or a cot if needed.

The living room/dining room and kitchen are open and has all the bells and whistles.

A cozy gas fireplace, but also air-conditioning. And 4 electric recliners.

The fully equiped kitchen that has a fridge, freezer, coffee maker, kettle, stove and oven, microwave, airfryer and instant pot. And all the pots/pans, plates etc. to make your own breakfast, lunch and supper.

When you arrive; the beds are made and there is 

bread, butter, milk, eggs, ham and cheese for your first breakfast.

And there are other staples like coffee, tea, sugar and much more.

Also laundry soap, dishwasher soap etc.

WiFi is also included.

We are open year round. Summer months are always booked almost full, book your stay well ahead!

We are flexible, we don't stick to week/midweek or weekends. 

Any day (except Sunday) and anytime is possible, I have welcomed guest at all times, even in the middle of the night if the flights were delayed. 

The only day we do not check-in or checkout is Sunday.
