There are so many places to explore...

I will list some of the many beautiful places to go for a day.

History/Culture

Fort Macleod;

Also a nice experience, the cattle market.

Check out their website for sale date/time.

Crownest Pass;

Cardston;

Lethbridge

A visit to a Hutterite Colony is also always very interesting.

They like to give you a tour and share their way of life.

Nature

Lundbreck Falls

Nice stop for a little walk when you are on your way to Frank Slide

Waterton National Park.

Absolutely beautiful.

Just stroll through the townside, get the best ice cream at the

Big Scoop Ice Cream Parlour.

Go on the cruise, across the Waterton Lake to Montana.

Halfway the lake you'll see the Canada-USA border.

No need to take your passport if you cruise right back, but if you want to hike on the other side, you have to show your passport.

If you like to hike, the Bears Hump is a short, moderate climb with a view!!!

 Distance: 2.8 km/1.8 miles
Elevation: 225 m/738 feet
Rating: Moderate
Timing: 1 hour

A bit longer, but easier hike is to Lower Bertha Falls

And don't forget to drive up to Red Rock Canyon

And if you are visiting September/October, you should see the Elk rut!

There are hundreds of elk during the rut in Waterton. Especially at Blackiston Fan, close to the entrance of the park. Park your vehicle and stay in your vehicle until they come. Usually between 5.30pm-7pm.

Waterton has so much to offer, you could easily spend 2 days or more!

Another park that I have heard is great is the Police Outpost.

I have yet to visit it, but here is the link with some information.

Milk River;

Writing-on -Stone

But if you just want to relax close by;

This place is so relaxing. During the summer months we go there quite often at night.

Watch the sunset and all the wildlife that live there. Lots of deer, porcupine, snakes, turtles, beavers, racoon, and many birds like Great Horned Owl, Geese, Pelican, Ducks, Oriole, Nuthatch, Waxwing and many more.

Those are just a few recommendations, but especially for nature, there are so many places you can go! Just ask me if you want more ideas.

I hope to add a page with all pictures from all the great things we have seen and experienced in the last 23 years.
